I am a fan of posh. And it doesn’t get much classier in Portland, OR than Portland City Grill.
High atop the “Big Pink Building” sits the jewel of the city’s restaurant crown. 30 floors up to be exact.
The girlies and I happened upon a gift card (courtesy of C’s lovely mother) for the posh little outpost in the clouds.
“Everybody don your best kicks, we’re getting our classy drink on!”
Up, up, up, and away we go. Just look at this place!
Our first round of cocktails is siren-sung to us by the seductive jazz of the live pianist. He ad libs every great song I know. Sir Elton John, The Beatles, J Mraz, etc; eclectic, yet made one by the unifying bluesy style and delicate fingers of our very own Piano Man. Can this man please be in charge of my life’s soundtrack?
Pink Margaritas to start us off right, followed quickly by our Tapas of choice:
Spring Pork Rice Rolls
And the “lick-your-fingers-good” Bombay Fried Calamari. YUM!
As the bustling crowd began to wander away from Mount Olympus and back into the murky Portland streets, we seized our chance at a window seat. How about another cocktail to celebrate this victory? Bellies full we moved to a killer view and more drinks.
Lavender Cosmo, what a lovely little creation you are!
And then the silliness came out in full force. “Show us how you pose…”
A pretty successful girl’s night out! Goodnight, my Rose City.
