Every once in a long while, Texas produces a delightfully beautiful day with perfect weather. On such a rare occasion, the only course of action is to call up a friend and take a stroll through the coolest neighborhood you can find.
Krissy called me on Monday morning (perks of being a nurse=random days off) and we were off in about 30 minutes. Our destination? Southtown, San Antonio’s coolest neighborhood.
What makes Southtown so cool?
Well besides the progressive restaurants, boutique style hotels, and cosy little cafes, the vibe is a sort of lively cool. As if everyday is about 4pm on Saturday, the night hasn’t gotten crazy, but all the plans are buzzing.
We walked for a few miles, ducking down random streets and admiring the houses of San Antonio’s historic King Williams district.
I could get used to living here!
This local gem is quiet and not at all touristy. So if you’re in town for a day, or you call San Antonio home, go take a stroll in Southtown!
