Except maybe any kind of nature, where trees outnumber people and every sounds makes me think I’m being stalked by a bear.
San Francisco is surprisingly walkable. Yes, I know what you’re thinking. “Isn’t San Francisco SUPER hilly??”
Yes. Pansy. Put your hiking shoes on, kids, because walking in San Francisco sucks. But is it worth it?
Absolutely! Look at these views!
We walked all the way from our hotel, through China Town and little Italy, and then moved on to Coit Tower.
After wandering around the base of Coit Tower, we came to the consensus that $12 was WAY too much money to wait in line for 30 minutes for a slightly better view than the one from the ground. With this revelation, we bounced. All the way down Lombard street.
The crookedest road in the world should probably be called most steep and horrible hill in the world.
Sweaty tourists fought to keep smiles on their faces as they began to question why Lombard street was a tourist attraction.
But it was all downhill from there. Thank god!
Ghirardelli Square and a few piers completed our self guided walking tour. We were exhausted, and caught a street car back to our hotel.
